Join me for an art retreat!

I am so excited to share that I will be teaching at the Reawakening: Creative mixed-Media Art Journaling retreat at Big Raven Farm in Spring Grove, MN on July 29-August 1, 2021!

Have you pushed the pause button on your creative spirit? Do you sometimes feel like you don’t know where to start? Is the blank page overwhelming or intimidating-are you afraid to make a “mistake.” This weekend retreat is for any artist who desires to awaken their freedom to create. There are no rules. There are no mistakes. In this workshop you will be given permission to play—through the process of play you will learn how to silence your internal critic who demands your perfection. Through practice of play—your art will grow.

During the retreat you will have the opportunity to experiment with making your own stamps, mark-making, art journaling, incorporating watercolor and acrylic paint, collage, pulling inspiration from nature and what’s around you, working with layers, creating elements, handwriting, and where to take your art after you’ve played.

Take a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and let the idyllic setting of Big Raven Farm inspire and soothe your creative spirit. This beautiful 10-acre retreat center is located in the heart of the Driftless region, where Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Iowa meet. It features six guest rooms that sleep 14+, a 1200 square foot event center and studio, an 800 square foot dining hall that seats 60, a commercial kitchen, and a 2-mile walking trail. Big Raven Farm is conveniently located only 2-1/2 hours from Minneapolis-St. Paul, Madison, and Dubuque.

Your registration will include farm-to-table meals, a Reawakening swag bag packed with supplies and art supplies to use during your stay. There are several room options available and room selection is on a first-come, first-served basis. Rooms are double occupancy, with the exception of one quad.
